According to the on-package toy bio of their Cyberverse toy, they are capable of feeling emotions, as them feeling both happiness and fear is mentioned. In addition, they hope to become Decepticon legends like Starscream or Soundwave. Given they have been displayed showing individuality, sentience, ambition, and emotion, what exactly separates them from normal Transformers is unclear.

I claim what autobots do to them is genocide.
