So I was wondering why I haven’t seen any attempts at drawing tailgate without his mask/visor. Well, I think he’s probably the type of cybertronian who isn’t actually wearing a mask but just has his face designed that way (as alluded to in Spotlight: orion, who said that PREVIOUSLY his mask was his face, and he was rebuilt with a mouth and the mask as a true mask), but anyways, CURIOUSITY.
Then I realized that people probably have attempted but went nopenopenope because he just looks so damn odd without his normal get up.

And you know, he looks okay without the mask, but still a visor
but even that looks odd.
Without BOTH though….HE HAS TRANSCENDED TO SOMETHING COMPLETELY UNTAILGATE-LIKE.
I think the visor is an integral part of him, is my conclusion.
I even messed around with the eye shape a bit to see if making it more milne makes it less odd, but that just makes him look uncharacteristically fierce
anyways there’s no point to this I was just experimenting on my one night that I don’t have to study in a sea of horribly difficult physiology/immunology/neuroanatomy/etc studies (✿ ◕ ◡ ◕)
